40 under 40 Leaders Initiative has been launched by the All India Muslim Development Council (AIMDC), aimed at identifying, celebrating, and empowering Muslim leaders under 40 years of age who are driving transformative change across India.

With a focus on leadership development and community impact, the programme aims to acknowledge and support leaders shaping a better and more equitable tomorrow, it said.

“The 40 Under 40 Leaders Initiative is dedicated to recognising Muslim leaders who are at the forefront of social, economic, and cultural change. These exceptional individuals are making a difference in fields such as social justice, environmental conservation, technology, business, and community development. Through their work, they are creating opportunities for underrepresented communities and contributing to India’s progress on multiple fronts.”

“We are excited to shine a spotlight on these young leaders who are pushing boundaries and inspiring positive action,” said Mohammed Imthiyaz, Director of the 40 Under 40 Leaders Initiative. “Their contributions are critical to fostering innovation, inclusivity, and sustainable development. Our program will help them grow their influence, expand their network, and optimize their leadership skills.”

    ● Leadership Workshops: Tailored sessions designed to hone leadership skills, strategic thinking, and community-building efforts.
    ● Mentorship Programme: Access to experienced leaders and mentors who will guide the selected candidates through their leadership journey.
    ● Networking Opportunities: Exclusive opportunities to connect with industry leaders, fellow changemakers, and organisations that align with their goals.
    ● Visibility and Recognition: A platform to showcase their achievements, amplify their impact, and inspire others to take bold steps toward meaningful change.

    Eligibility and Application Process
The programme is open to Muslim leaders under 40 years of age who are currently leading or contributing to impactful initiatives in India. Ideal candidates are individuals who are making measurable contributions to their communities, demonstrating leadership potential, and showing a clear commitment to creating long-term, sustainable change.

Nominations and applications can be submitted online at 40u40.org. The deadline for submissions is [31st March 2025]. A panel of distinguished experts will evaluate the applicants based on the scale of their impact, leadership potential, and dedication to their cause.

“By investing in these leaders today, we are investing in the future of the community and India,” added Mohammed Imthiyaz. “Their innovations and contributions are crucial in tackling some of the most pressing issues of our time, from poverty and inequality to environmental sustainability, access to education and social justice.”

The 40 Under 40 Leaders Initiative is committed to recognising and empowering young Muslim leaders who are driving significant change across India. Through mentorship, leadership development, and a collaborative network, the programme supports participants in amplifying their impact, growing their initiatives, and building a more inclusive future.
