Health update of Yaseer attacked in Batla House, hospitalised in AIIMS with life-threatening injuries
After being attacked with sharp objects most probably knife in Batla House, 24-year-old Yaseer Saifi, an electrician, was rushed to AIIMS with life-threatening injuries, according to his family members.
On the second day in AIIMS, Yaseer on Monday morning was taken to operation theatre, said his brother Yawar Saifi from the hospital.
He told the OT that his brother was on ventilator and was restless throughout the night. He couldn’t sleep and was just trying to say something but was unable to utter word, said Yawar.
Family members said they are hopeful that his health condition will improve after the operation is over. It was at 8 am when he was taken to operation theatre as he received deep wounds in the attack and we were told on Sunday to arrange for blood which was managed on time, he said, adding that they all are waiting for him to return from the operation theatre.
Yaseer’s mother, brother and a friend spoke with the OT on Sunday.
Yawar told the OT they have no idea who stabbed him but whoever did it must be a demon. “We got a call explaining about the incident and then we reached Batla House and brought him to AIIMS where he was operated upon and his condition is critical,” he said.
The reason behind the attack is not known and probe is on.
The ruthless knife attack has surfaced only a few days after 25-year-old Talib was lynched by some in Batla House in fight over gulli danda, sparking a political slugfest between the Congress and AAP.
