Personality Test: RCA, Jamia conducts virtual mock interviews for UPSC aspirants
The Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) of Jamia Millia Islamia is conducting Virtual Mock Interviews for its registered students whose UPSC’s interview have been rescheduled due to COVID-19.

A total of 60 students of RCA qualified UPSC Mains Exams-2019 and 48 of them already appeared in personality test/ interview conducted by the commission. Remaining 12 candidates could not appear for interview as it was rescheduled due to COVID-19 and will now be held between 20th-29th July,2020.
Prominent civil servants and academicians are participating as panel members to grill students on various national and international issues during the virtual mock interviews. They are also giving valuable tips and advises to the civil services aspirants to help them face the UPSC’s board confidently.
Siraj Husain IAS (R), Sharda Prasad IPS (R), Rasheda Husain IRS, Indraveer Yadav IAS (R), Mahesh Misra IPS (R), Mahesh Misra IPS (R), SS Khan IRS (R), Javeed Ahmad IPS (R) , Khursheed Ganai IAS (R), Vivek Katju IFS (R) and Professor UM Ameen are the panel members during mock interviews.
Professor Najma Akhtar, Vice-Chancellor, Jamia is personally monitoring the mock interviews. She addressed the panel members and briefed them about the successful efforts of RCA, JMI.
She thanked the panel members for devoting their time and giving valuable tips to students. She also praised the efforts of Tanvir Zafar Ali, Hony. Director and Mohd Tarique, Deputy Director of RCA, JMI.
Twenty four (24) students of RCA, JMI have also qualified for Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) Interview scheduled to start from 15th July,2020. RCA is arranging Virtual Mock Interview for them also with the same panel. 14 students of RCA, JMI were finally selected in J&K PSC exam recently.
RCA was established in 2010 by UGC under the aegis of Centre for Coaching and Career Planning (CC&CP),JMI to provide free coaching and residential facilities to the students of SC,ST, Women and Minorities for civil services and other competitive examinations. Ever since its inception, RCA has worked satisfactorily and has earned a name in this field across the country.
The competitive environment, the professional teachers, the support of highest authorities of Jamia, the robust entrance test, and regular classes and test series are some of the factors for its modest success.
Since, 2010-11 till 2018 around 240 students have successfully joined Indian Civil Services including many in IAS, IFS and IPS. Besides, more than 250 students have also been selected in various other central and state services i.e., CAPF, IB, RBI (GradeB), APF, Bank PO and PCS etc.
