Twitter will charge $8 for blue tick: Twitter CEO Elon Musk
The news that Twitter Inc will charge $8 for its Blue service has triggered a debate among Okhla netizens. According to media reports, the verified badge on twitter which is the most-sought after with many users in the locality will now won’t come for free.
Twitter’s current lords & peasants system for who has or doesn’t have a blue checkmark is bullshit.
Power to the people! Blue for $8/month.

“Twitter’s current lords & peasants system for who has or doesn’t have a blue checkmark is bullshit. Power to the people! Blue for $8/month,” Musk said in a tweet.
He said the price will be adjusted by “country proportionate to purchasing power parity”.
Musk said blue-tick subscribers would get priority in replies, mentions and search, and be able to post longer videos and audios, while dealing with half as many ads.
He also offered subscribers a paywall bypass from “publishers willing to work with us”.
Many users in Okhla, who are without any blue tick, said they would be happy to continue on the microblogging site without running after the blue tick. They said those who got blue tick and were found bragging about it should be worried about the proposed price. In a recent poll, majority of Twitter users said they would not pay for the blue tick. Only 10 per cent said they were willing to pay $5 a month, claimed a media report.
It was last week when Must took over Twitter. Since then there were speculations in the locality among regular users that some new changes would take place.
