Heavy rush seen at chicken shops in Okhla
The bird flu scare notwithstanding, chicken shops in Jamia Nagar are witnessing huge crowds for the last many days, according to residents.

Many residents were seen making beeline at chicken shops to lay their hands on the poultry chicken as prices decreased in the last few days ranging from Rs 90 to Rs 110 varying from shop to shop.
In Batla House chicken market, a huge crowd was seen trying to buy chicken meat for Rs 100 per kilogram. Some shopkeepers were seen displaying piled-up chicken legs and breasts for sale.
A shopkeeper said there is a huge rush and many residents are demanding small birds. He said a few days ago he slaughtered 150 birds alone at his shop.
