Fortis Escorts chairman Dr Ashok to be Chief Guest at Jamia’s R-Day celebrations
On the occasion of 72nd Republic Day, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) will be organizing a Republic Day function on January 26 at 09.30 am at the forecourt of Dr MA Ansari Auditorium of the university.
Prof (Dr) Ashok Seth (Padma Bhushan, Padma Shri), Chairman, Fortis Escorts Heart Institute and Governance Board shall be the Chief Guest of the function and will receive a Guard of Honour from NCC Cadets.
Prof Najma Akhtar, Vice Chancellor, shall hoist the national flag which will be followed by singing of the National Anthem and her address to the gathering.
Prof (Dr) Ashok Seth shall also deliver his address on this occasion.
Singing of patriotic songs and cultural performances by students of Jamia schools will start from 11.00 am onwards at Dr MA Ansari Auditorium.
All Covid-19 protocols shall be strictly followed.
