AAP vs Cong battle takes ugly turn: My two aides thrashed over poster row, says Danish from Jamia Nagar police station
The AAP vs Congress battle of winning hearts and minds of Okhla voters appears to be taking ugly turn after new posters against Congress leader Shoaib Danish surfaced on the walls of the locality on Monday night, according to a Congress leader. Following the incident Danish was seen at Jamia Nagar Police Station for filing a complaint against the people behind the poster row.
“My two close aides Wajid and Farman, were beaten up when they objected to putting up of posters against me. They were taken to Al Shifa hospital late night and I am here to file police complaint,” he said.

The controversy between AAP and Congress had erupted after the Congress leaders decided to not participate in the Mayoral election held a few days ago. The election was postponed as AAP and BJP leaders clashed. Since then the AAP which lost four seats in the MCD election has tried to turn the tables against Danish over his wife Zakir Nagar Councillor Naziya Danish being proposed to be made Delhi Hajj Committee member.
The charges have been refuted by Danish. But the AAP in Okhla has continued to mount pressure on the party by taking out rally and now posters to eat into Congress Muslim votes, alleged political observers.
