Try Persian Shirmals stuffed with dry fruits from Batla House’s Mamu, Bhanje outlet

Shirmal, the traditional Persian roti, was a luxury, only available during marriage once, but with the changing time you get it in many places in Delhi and across India.

With mushrooming Shirmal outlets in Okhla, this one in Batla House stands apart, claimed the shop owner of this Mamu, Bhanja Shirmal wale at Nafees Road.

Stuffed with dry fruits, the Persian Shirmal with desi flavour is a huge hit, said the shop owner, adding that more than 1,000 breads are sold daily.

Also, he said Shirmal lovers can book order over phone.

The chef said dry fruits, maida and other stuff are mixed to turn this naan sweet. It is made in a big tandoor and the process goes on for hours, he said.

At Mamu, Bhanja Shirmal wale you will find several varieties of naan. Of them the popular among Shirmal lovers are: Pista, Badam (almonds) and Kaju (cashew).

Though for a newcomer this is just a sweet roti laden with dry fruits. But that is not the case as Shirmal lovers come from far places to devour it.

The owner said actually they are from Meerut where his Mamu Haji Haneef Bawarchi started Shirmal outlet and then in later years, a branch was opened at Nafees Road in Batla House.

If you love to eat Shirmal then you can order it from the comfort of your homes as the Shirmal is just a phone call away.

Place an order by calling on these numbers: Junaid Bawarchi: 9540233986; Aslam Bawarchi 8287883649
