Parvez wife speaks with media after arrest
The arrest of Popular Front of India (PFI) Delhi head Parvez Ahmed on Thursday morning from his Jamia Nagar flat has left resident talking about how the raid was conducted. And as words spread of the raid when police in large number gathered in streets, according to residents, TV journalists started arriving in the area trying to get bites from residents and family members. Majority of them were not successful as residents showed no interest in talking with the media, said a resident who introduced himself as Gulab and resides in the same lane of Jamia Nagar from where Parvez was arrested.

Some journalists, including a reporter of newindian.in, were able to speak with Parvez wife after a pan-India operation against the PFI, he claimed.
Parvez’s wife Nazma told newindian.in that the agency officials conducted the searches and picked up her husband from her house. “They came at 6.45 am. A few of the personnel came to our house and started banging on our door. I asked them who they wanted to see; they said they wanted to meet Parvez…. I told them ‘he is not at home and has gone to drop off our kids at school’. But they kept standing outside our house. Some female personnel were also there. A lot of policemen surrounded our house,” Nazma said, while giving an account of the raid.
“They took away two of our mobile phones and also my husband with them. I don’t know where they have taken him,” she added. Agency sources said Parvez’s brother has also been detained.
