MBA grad demands Rs 1 lakh 20K for oxygen concentrator, Shaheen Bagh cops arrest him

A case in point is a story at Kalindi Kunj where, according to police, a man asked for Rs 1 lakh 20K for oxygen concentrator from a resident. However, police said it foiled the man’s bid to sell the item at exorbitant price by arresting him at Kalindi Kunj when he had come to deliver the item.
One accused arrested, two oxygen concentrator with accessories seized and one car seized, said police.
The staff of STF and Police Station Shaheen Bagh said it arrested one accused for black marketing of medical equipments used for treatment of Covid patients.
After getting a tip off that a person was demanding Rs 1,20,000 for one oxygen concentrator whose MRP is Rs 32,000 per piece in the market, a team was formed to arrest the culprit, said police.
“We came to know that alleged person will deliver item near Kalindi Kunj Park at 8:15 pm to his customer. A raiding party was deployed near Kalindi Kunj Park to trap the alleged person and the operation was successful with his arrest,” said the police in a statement to the media.
The accused, who had come from Noida, disclosed that he bought the oxygen concentrator machine at Rs 50,000 each and he wanted to earn maximum profit, said the police.
