Okhla Head resident Sikandar Choudhary said the incident is shocking that too in an area which has been peaceful for years. Ward Councillor Shoaib Danish told the OT over phone the incident is shocking. Massive hunt is on in the locality by cops to nab the accused.
Yameen Qureshi, in whose flat the incident took place at Okhla Head on Friday, said he was away and came to know about the incident when he returned home. A masked person entered the house forcefully after a maid came out and then held his wife captive at knife, pistol point and looted articles, he said. He declined to speak on video. Items were seen spread in one room.
Okhla Congress leader Gentle Hedayat did a FB live on the incident on Saturday afternoon.
Following the incident, Johri Farm RWA issued an advisory for the residents.
“This has time and again been advised so also ensure not to allow delivery guys access to your doorstep specially for flats and please make effort to collect it from your ground floor entrance. “As this is very common and we have numerous unverified delivery agents visiting the colony. Also be sensitive and inform local police station. Some beggars are found positioned in permanent locations also they can track your daily movements so first of all every resident should not allow them and not to pay them as well,” said the message.
