Nazim Al-Jafri, Controller of Examinations & Registrar, appointed Prof of History in Jamia
Dr Nazim Husain Al-Jafri, Controller of Examination Jamia Millia Islamia, has been appointed Professor in the Department of History & Culture of the university, according to a statement issued by the media.

“The EC has also approved the appointment of Dr Nazim Husain Al-Jafri as Professor in the Department of History & Culture of the university,” it said.
Dr Al-Jafri’s basic post is Controller of Examinations and he is holding additional charges of Registrar and more, said a source.
He did his PhD in Ancient Indian History and Archeology and has jointly penned a book: Proto-Historic Cultures in India.
The Executive Council (EC) of Jamia in its meeting held today has taken several important decisions, it said.
The EC has approved the appointment of Prof. Mehtab Alam, Department of Civil Engineering as the Pro Vice Chancellor with effect from 23rd January, 2022, it said.
The EC resolved to approve that the present Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) will be named after Late Prof. Shafique Ahmad Ansari, the then Hony. Director, IQAC for his outstanding contribution to the cell. He died due to Covid-19 during the second wave of the pandemic.
The EC resolved to adopt the qualifications for appointment and promotions of teachers in Jamia Schools on the pattern of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), it said, adding that the EC also resolved to adopt the revised minimum wages rates for different categories of staff in the university.
