There is good news for iPhone lovers. The price of the iPhone 16e has dropped significantly ahead of the launch of the iPhone 17. The device is now available on various e-commerce platforms for just ₹52,490. The iPhone 17 is expected to be launched on September 9.

Launched in India in February 2025, the 128GB variant of the iPhone 16e was originally priced at ₹59,900. It is currently listed at ₹52,490 on Vijay Sales. Additional discounts of up to ₹11,000 are available, including an instant ₹3,500 off on EMI purchases using HDFC Bank credit or debit cards. This brings the effective price close to ₹50,000.

On Amazon, the iPhone 16e is priced at ₹51,499. While there is no flat discount at the moment, buyers can get ₹1,559 cashback when paying via Amazon Pay ICICI Bank card.

The iPhone 16e comes with a 6-inch Super Retina OLED XDR display with a peak brightness of 1,200 nits and Ceramic Shield protection. It is powered by Apple’s A18 chipset and a 16-core neural engine. Notably, it is Apple’s most affordable device to support Apple Intelligence features.

In terms of cameras, the phone has a 48MP rear camera with OIS and 4K video recording at 60fps. The front camera is 12MP and also supports 4K 60fps video capture.

After the launch of the iPhone 17, the prices of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 15 are expected to drop, and Apple may discontinue the older models. Amazon and Flipkart are also likely to offer deals and discounts on previous-generation iPhones, potentially bringing their prices down to ₹50,000 or below.

Many people who can’t always afford the latest flagship phone choose to change their phone at this juncture when companies introduce new versions of their products and then buy the previous version with heavy discounts.

It should be noted that the iPhone 16e has been a strong option in 2025 because it is known as a budget-friendly iPhone with good performance. It is designed to handle day-to-day tasks like photography and gaming, with AI-driven Apple Intelligence features. This means that you can access the same features at a much lower cost now.

Many users in India prefer the iPhone for its reliability. Many other Android phones which boomed in the market in the past years are now nowhere to be seen, but the iPhone continues to hold market share and remain a market leader. Besides its striking features and durability, it has also become a status symbol among youths and office-goers. So, if you plan to get one, here’s your chance to grab it at a discounted price.
