Watch: Kejriwal couldn’t make it to Batla House, know the reason, Mahila Mohalla Clinic inaugurated by mosque Imam
After the OT report about Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal coming to Batla House to inaugurate first Mahila Mohalla Clinic in the locality today there was buzz in the area with party workers turning up to give him warm welcome.
But as time passed by, it was informed that Kejriwal won’t be able to make it to the spot due to his engagement in some other parts of the city and Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan will inaugurate the clinic. It is understood that the CM was in another area to inaugurate a new Mahila Mohalla Clinic.
Kejriwal tweeted in Hindi: “Good news for the women of Delhi. Another new initiative is going to happen in the national capital’s world-class health services from today. The government is going to start a special ‘Mahila Mohalla Clinic’ where women will get services of a gynaecologist, tests, medicines, and tests free of cost.”

Earlier, it was announced that the clinic will be inaugurated at 3 pm.
But on Wednesday it was shared on the spot by AAP leaders that the event will take place at 4 pm. The leaders were talking about the arrival of Kejriwal and vendors too were removed from the Batla House main market clearing the area.
Aariz Khan, who had on Tuesday, shared the information with the OT, said it appears that due to engagement of the CM he won’t be able to make. However, there was still hope, when the area was being cleared and people were asked to clear the area and park their bikes somewhere else not in front of the Mohalla Clinic.
But the hope faded after 3.30 pm with leaders talking that some Ministers might come in. With time passing by, Amanatullah arrived on the spot with his supporters. Later on the inauguration event started. The Mahila Mohalla Clinic was inaugurated by Imam of Batla House mosque and later on the MLA and the doctor of the clinic addressed the media, informing them about how the clinic will work. Women, who had turned up mostly AAP workers, were all praise of the new clinic, saying it would help women in getting treatment.
