Widening of Kalindi Kunj road to ease jam, inspection by Amanatullah
At about 5 pm Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan and his team were seen at Kalindi Kunj road linking the Sarita Vihar Road and Noida with traffic police team. On being asked, Khan’s team member Mahmood told the OT that the MLA is inspecting the road with officials over plan to ease traffic jam.
Several autho rickshaw drivers seen at Kalindi Kunj were missing. They said the MLA had turned up with his team and there was talk about how to widen the road to avoid traffic jam which has become a perennial issue since the Covid-induced lockdown and other restrictions have been lifted. It could not be known what are the plants but daily commuters coming from Noida have lamented about the traffic jam.
Since lockdown restrictions have been lifted and offices opened with residents even giving up masks, traffic which has been below normal on this road for two years, is seeing huge traffic with commuters saying they get stuck in traffic jam from time to time.
It would be interesting to see what plans are revealed to widen the road and end traffic jam, said residents who use this road regularly.
