Won’t be able to contest: Fouzul whose wife Javeria got Congress ticket from Sarita Vihar
Another twist in Okhla politics as Syed Fouzul Azeem, who had succeeded in getting ticket for his wife, Javeria Mahfooz, told the OT that his wife is not ready to contest and hence he has asked the party to give ticket to some other deserving candidate.
Today’s is last date for nomination.
“We were happy to get the ticket and also thankful to the party for doing so but my father-in-law died a day ago and hence my wife is not mentally in a position to campaign in this election. That is why I have asked my party (Congress) to give ticket to some new deserving candidate from Sarita Vihar seat,” he said.
Sarita Vihar is ruled by Nitu Manish Chuadhary who earlier was with the Congress. But later on she quit the party to join the BJP. This year Nitu would be trying her luck for the second time.
