In a major step towards strengthening e-governance and enhancing student-centric services, the Office of the Controller of Examinations, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), has announced that Provisional Certificates for all pass-out students will now be issued exclusively through the University’s Student Portal (https://jmicoe.in), effective from today.

This digital initiative is designed to save time, minimise paperwork, and ensure a transparent, hassle-free process for students, said the university. With the new system in place, students will no longer need to physically visit offices or wait for weeks; instead, they can download their provisional certificates within minutes, from anywhere and at any time.

Key features of the online facility include:

Provisionals will be processed and issued only through the Student Portal.

Students can submit their applications online, pay the prescribed fee, and download the certificate instantly.

The application fee is INR 300 (INR 50 for the certificate + INR 250 automation charges).

They will be available for immediate download upon successful payment.

The facility will remain accessible 24×7, enabling students to apply at their convenience.

Speaking on this development, Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma, Controller of Examinations, JMI, said: “This initiative is a significant stride in our journey towards digital transformation. It not only enhances administrative efficiency but also makes the process student-friendly, ensuring that our graduates can access their documents seamlessly from anywhere in the world.”

The university urges all pass-out students to take note of this facility and avail themselves of the service starting September 25, 2025.
