    Jamia to resume offline classes for all except 1st-year students from July 16

    Jamia to resume offline classes for all except 1st-year students from July 16

    Jamia Millia Islamia will re-open in offline mode for all classes except first semester/year from 16th July, 2022. Classes for the fresh batch (first semester/year) will commence from August 1st, 2022.

    On the recommendation of all Deans of Faculties, JMI Vice Chancellor Prof. Najma Akhtar has taken these decisions.

    All Deans of the university have been advised to complete the renovation/ maintenance/ repairing work of classrooms/ labs in their concerned faculties before the commencement of classes.

    The Vice Chancellor on the recommendation of all Deans of the Faculties has also approved the Academic Calendar for the session 2022-23 for first semester/year of all Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) courses. As per the academic calendar the ongoing admission process will be closed by 31st July, 2022 and classes for the fresh batch (semester/year) shall start from 1st August,2022. The examination will be conducted from December 1st to December 15th, 2022.

    Winter vacation in the university will start from 23rd December, 2022 to 1st January,2023 and classes for even semester will commence from January 2nd, 2023.

    The university will conduct examinations for Even Semester from 1st May to 31st May, 2023. The summer vacation will start from 16th June to 15th July, 2023 and the next academic session will start from 16th July, 2023.
    The calendar is subject to Covid-19 conditions and guidelines.
