    Calendar dedicated to iconic women of Jamia unveiled at event to celebrate NAAC A++

    JTA organises special function to celebrate A++ accreditation to JMI by NAAC

    Jamia Teachers’ Association (JTA) organised a special function today to celebrate A++ accreditation to Jamia Millia Islamia by NAAC recently in which the New Year Calendar 2022 dedicated to prominent women of Jamia was also unveiled .

    While addressing the gathering Jamia Vice Chancellor Najma Akhtar said we are very happy to have received the highest and most coveted ranking from NAAC, which we dreamt of. “This is not the end but the beginning of a challenge to maintain this position in the coming years. Another challenge which we are going to face very soon is the upcoming NIRF ranking where the university has to prove its mettle. We will soon start new paramedical courses and hopefully the university will be able to start medical college cum hospital too in near future as NAAC peer team has also recommended for it,” she said.   

    JMI Vice Chancellor, JTA President Prof. Majid Jamil, Vice President Prof. Nafis Ahmad, Joint Secretary Dr Saiqa Ikram, Treasurer Dr Arif Mohammed and all executive committee members of the association jointly unveiled the New Year Calendar 2022 dedicated to prominent women of JMI who contributed immensely in the growth of the university since its inception.  The Vice Chancellor lauded the efforts of the JTA for acknowledging the important role played by the women in taking university to new horizons.  

    Faculty members who recently achieved national & international awards & honor were felicitated on the occasion too.

    The function was attended by Vice Chancellor & Chief Guest Prof. Najma Akhtar, Prof. Srikrishna Deva Rao, Vice Chancellor, National Law University, Delhi, Cuban Ambassador to India Alejandro Simancas Marin, Senior IPS Officer & JMI alumnus Dr Hanif Qureshi, Pro Vice Chancellor, Delhi skill & Entrepreneurship University & JMI alumnus Prof. Rehan Khan Suri, Former Jamia Vice Chancellor Syed Shahid Mahdi, Registrar Dr Nazim Husain Jafri, Deans, HoDs, faculty members, guests, prominent alumni, officers and other staff members of the university. JTA Secretary Dr Mohammad Irfan Qureshi conducted the program which was followed by annual party of the JTA.
