Jamia school student Humayun Mughal earns global laurels
It’s a matter of great pride that Humayun Mughal of class XI Science, Section-A of Jamia Senior Secondary School (JSSS) got 2nd Rank in The Physics Brawl, an online competition which was conducted by a Russian Organization and Charles University, Prague https://online.fyziklani.cz. There were total 180 teams across the World in which students of classes 11-12 participated. In the first place there was a team from the US and on the third place there was a team from Turkey.
Further it is extremely important to know that Mr. Humayun Mughal qualified International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) level 1 and got the school Gold Medal. In the Level 2 Mr. Mughal got Zonal Rank 21 and International Rank 339 and got the Certificate of Zonal Excellence which is awarded only to the top 25 students of the zone. Also in the National Science Olympiad (NSO) level 1 Mr. Mughal qualified and got the school Gold Medal. In Level 2 he got Zonal Rank 83 and International Rank 819.
The International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) & National Science Olympiad (NSO) is conducted by SOF (Science Olympiad Foundation) internationally every year. It is conducted at two levels where the first is conducted in the school only and those who clear Level 1 appear in Level 2. More details about IMO/NSO and SOF can be found at: https://sofworld.org/
