And in this time of crisis when many have been arrested across the country for black marketing Covid related items and cheating patients’ family members, some Jamia Nagar residents have come forward to help the needy.
Pro Zakat Foundation-lead by Dilshad Ahmad and volunteers Abdullah Ahmed, Shahbuddin, Aariz Mehmood, Noorul Islam Khan, Ershad Ahmad and others, all residents of Abul Fazal Enclave, distributed food to needy today.
“We would like to thanks donors and supporters for this initiative,” he said.
He is not the only one to do so as there are many in the locality who are helping the needy at this time of crisis.
Former Asif Md Khan and his team have also started distributing food kits to the needy, said sources. Abdul Wahal Malik told the OT over phone that they distributed food kits to the needy residents and a day ago they started kitchen for the poor.
Besides, Advocate Arfa Khanum and her team are also at the forefront to distribute food kits to the needy under the banner of Badhte Kadam.
Another Zakir Nagar resident said Mohammad Wajid is also helping the needy in the locality.
Wajid is providing ration kits door to door, said a resident.
Mohammad Wajid, Mohd Iqbal, Abulmujahid, Majid Khan, Shad Zafar, Mohd Nawab, Akram, Mintto and Salman are member in his team, said the resident.
