    Meet Gandhi Trophy winners

    Jamia Millia Islamia, an institution born out of the freedom struggle and non-cooperation movement completed glorious 102 years of its establishment today. NCC cadets of the university presented a Guard of Honour to the Chief Guest of the function Dr Subhas Sarkar, Minister of State for Education, Govt. of India, Jamia Vice Chancellor Prof. Najma Akhtar and Guest of Honour of the function Dr Upendra Giri, Founder & CEO, Upbuild Global Inc., California, USA.

    Several events were held throughout the day. Here are the winners of Gandhi Trophy.

    1st prize Arham Khan Syed Abid Hussain Sr secondary School Jamia
    Second Anglo Arabic school
    Third prize- Girls Senior secondary School Jamia

    2nd Prize Syed Abid Hussain Sr Secondary Jamia
    3rd prize Shafeeq memorial School

    Ad Mad World
    Ist prize- Anglo Arabic
    Second proze- Senior secondary Jamia Millia Islamia
    3rd prize- Shafeeq Memorial

    Gandhi Trophy Winner- Anglo Arabic School

    The inaugural function of the Foundation Day Celebration began today with the unfurling of the Jamia Flag by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Najma Akhtar at the lawns of Dr. M. A. Ansari Auditorium of the university followed by the singing of the song ‘Ye Jamia Ka Parcham..’ by students.

    Inside the auditorium the function began with the singing of Jamia Tarana by students followed by the felicitation of the Chief Guest and other dignitaries. Prof. Farhat Nasreen, Department of History & Culture, JMI, Mirza Shaina Beg & Navi Hasan, students of the university enthralled the audience with their powerful speeches on the glorious history and 102 years journey of JMI.
