From viral AI sarees to liquid glass: Nano Banana, Apple spark new tech craze

A new trend is taking over the internet nowadays. Google’s Gemini Nano Banana AI feature is making a splash on Instagram. Lakhs of people are transforming their ordinary photos into posters inspired by 90s Bollywood films. Among them, the ‘vintage saree edits’ are going viral the most. In this trend, people are turning their photos into retro looks with yellow chiffon, classic black or polka dot sarees using Gemini Nano Banana.

To join this trend, the user has to log in to Gemini or ChatGPT using a Google account. In Gemini Nano Banana, AI editing mode opens by clicking on “Try Image Editing” , the banana icon. After this, a clear photo has to be uploaded and the viral prompt has to be copied and pasted. The photo is transformed within seconds.

One of the viral prompts reads: “Convert this person into a retro vintage grainy but bright image, black party-wear saree, 90s film aesthetic.”

Such prompts give a cinematic and nostalgic look to the photos. This is the reason why the trend is spreading rapidly. Google launched the Nano Banana model in August 2025. Earlier, it became popular due to the 3D figurine trend. Now people are using it to make retro saree posters.

On the other hand, Apple announced the release of iOS 26 on Monday. This new update will be available from September 15, 2025. Apple has described it as the biggest software change in recent years.

The most visible change in iOS 26 is the “Liquid Glass” design. This makes apps, icons and controls look transparent. The time on the lock screen changes according to the wallpaper. Notifications do not cover the main part of the photo. New icons and light-dark mode options have been added to the home screen.

The Control Center has also received a new look. It reflects the surrounding colors and shapes. The company says this will make the operating system feel more uniform.

Many AI features have been added to iOS 26 under “Apple Intelligence”. It has live translation, which instantly translates messages, FaceTime, or calls into another language. When used with AirPods, the translation is heard in a natural voice.

Apart from this, visual intelligence tools are also included. Calendar entries can be created directly from photos or reminders from email lists. Users can create graphics and emojis of their choice with Image Playground and Genmoji.

These new updates from Google and Apple have increased curiosity among social media and tech users. While there is a craze for AI sarees on Instagram, iPhone users are eagerly waiting for new designs and AI features.

“All images created or edited with Gemini 2.5 Flash Image include an invisible SynthID digital watermark to clearly identify them as AI-generated. Build with confidence and provide transparency for your users,” information on aistudio.google.com reads.
