Students of Delhi Model Virtual School will get free JEE-NEET coaching: Atishi

In the session 2023-24, Kejriwal Government’s Delhi Model Virtual School (DMVS) will further enhance the learning opportunities for students nationwide through Delhi’s quality education model. To ensure the same, Education Minister Atishi held a review meeting with the officials of this flagship project. During the meeting, the Education Minister provided several important suggestions regarding the action plan for the virtual school in the upcoming academic session. It is to be noted that admissions for the virtual school will begin soon for the new session.

While discussing the plans for DMVS, Atishi said: “Our aim through the Delhi Model Virtual School is to make quality education more accessible and inclusive so that students from anywhere in India can easily become a part of it in large numbers and as per their convenience. With this aim we launched DMVS last year. This school has all the advantages of a physical institution but is virtual and is affiliated with DBSE. Today, students from 13 states, including Delhi, are studying here, and this year our focus is to expand its reach to more states across the country. Our goal is to ensure that quality education is easily available to everyone, regardless of their location.”

It is to be noted that from the upcoming session students in DMVS will have access to free IIT-JEE and NEET coaching virtually. DMVS will also offer students job-oriented courses like coding, digital media and design, finance and accounting, along with short-term and advanced courses designed by industry experts.

During the meeting, the Education Minister directed the officials concerned to make 5-year action plan for DMVS.

    What is DMVS?
Delhi Model Virtual School (DMVS), is a full-time regular online school that strives to provide excellent education to students remotely through personalized teaching-learning and the use of cutting-edge technology. DMVS carries the hallmarks of a regular Delhi government school, namely, students, teachers, regular teaching-learning activities, assessments, and most importantly, providing a comprehensive and interactive virtual environment to its students. DMVS will cater to the different needs of all students who have constraints to attending a physical school. DMVS is appropriate for students who work 8 – 10 hours a day, are pursuing other passions (art/sports), have familial responsibilities, want to experience the Delhi model of Education, cannot find their choice of subject in a physical school, have a physical disability/chronic illness or prefer online education.

    Special Features of DMVS
