Jamia foils boy’s bid to take admission on forged documents in Class IX of its school, both boy, father handed over to Jamia Nagar police
The Principal’s Office, Syed Abid Husain Sr. Secondary School (S/F), Jamia Millia Islamia has caught a boy who was trying to take admission on the basis of forged documents in class 9th of SAH Sr. Secondary School. The candidate along with his father has been handed over to the Jamia Nagar Police Station.
On 18.07.2023 (Tuesday), the Proctor Office received a call from Controller of Examinations Office regarding a case of attempt of forgery in taking admission in 9th class of Jamia School. The Chief Proctor immediately sent a team of Schools’ Proctorial Team to the Office of the Principal, Syed Abid Husain Sr. Secondary School to look into the matter.
Upon investigation, it was found that a minor boy ‘ (name….)’ came to Principal’s office along with his father from District Katihar, Bihar to complete the admission formalities for class 9th under Muslim OBC/ST category in response to the list of selected candidates from waiting list-l released on 07.07.2023 by the university on its website.
However, the Principal’s Office found that one genuinely selected candidate (name here) had already completed the formalities and taken admission against this ‘claimed seat. On further inquiry, the office noted that the Registration Form No. and the Admit Card Roll No. produced by this boy was same as that of the admitted student while the data of both the applicants was different.
Later, in the investigation, the boy confessed that he could not clear the school entrance test and for taking admission in Jamia Millia Islamia he edited and replaced his Registration No. and Admit Card Roll No. with the Registration No. and Roll No. of one of the originally selected candidates on computer to deceive the University authorities, on the advice of his friend.
Later, the university handed over the candidate to the Jamia Nagar Police Station for necessary action against him for attempting admission in the Syed Abid Husain Sr. Secondary School, Jamia Millia Islamia on the basis of forged documents.
