Firing outside Jamia Centenary Gate? TV channel uploads this video. The OT reports:
A shooting incident was reported on Tuesday outside Gate Number 13 of Jamia Millia Islamia, according to media reports. Till the filing of this report two well-known channels have reported on this issue with India News even uploading a video in which police officials are seen outside the Centenary gate.
Two rounds of bullets were shot at the site, reported Republic World.
“According to police officials, no formal complaint has been filed yet in connection with the matter. They further clarified that the incident did not take place inside the Jamia campus and added that no student or individual associated with the university was involved in the firing. Further reports confirmed two rounds of bullets were shot at the site. Authorities are currently investigating the matter,” reported Republic World.

The exact time of the firing is unknown, but sources indicate the incident likely occurred between 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. The OT could not independently verify the development.
India News reported: “Jamia University Firing News: A tense situation unfolded outside Jamia University. Gunfire was heard outside the university today, spreading panic among students. However, at the time of filing this report, the situation on the campus remained calm.
When official confirmation over the issue is yet to be releasee. The portal did Google search, Chatgpt, Perplexity and Grok to get more information on Tuesday night.
This keyword was used: “Firing outside Jamia Millia Islamia.” On top Google showed Republic World article and the rest of the stories are old of 2019.
All of them quoted Republic World as the only media outlet to cover this story.
