Watch: Shoaib, Parvez efforts yield positive results, 6,000 gaz vacant land saved

After the DDA put an official plate on a 6,000 gaz vacant land in Zakir Nagar, Pervez Alam in a social media post on Tuesday said their efforts have yielded positive results.

The land has been at the centre of controversy for the last few days in Jamia Nagar with senior Congress leader Shoaib Danish at the forefront of the campaign to save it.

In a press conference called by him with Pervez on his side, he had made some sensational claim and said some “land sharks” have been eyeing this government property.

Armed with official documents which he displayed to local YouTubers during the press meet, he said his effort is not to let the vacant land fall in the hands of realtors. He had said there is dearth of vacant government land and once acquired it can be used for social purpose like hospital, clinic and schools.

However, after the banner has been put on the land, a resident who had also laid claim to land said he would go to court to get justice.
