Al Shifa’s Covid Field Hospital in Okhla thrown open to public
Covid Field Hospital under Alshifa Multispeciality Hospital in Jamia Nagar, run by Human Welfare Trust was officially launched on Wednesday at 5.45 pm.

The Field Hospital is being organised in collation with Aster Volunteers, the CSR arm of UAE-based Aster DM Healthcare and this will function at The Scholar School in Jamia Nagar, Delhi, run by Human Welfare Foundation, said the body in a release issued to the media.
The full-fledged Field Hospital will have 50 bed capacities and will admit 25 asymptamatic Covid positive patients in the first state and later will upgrade to 50-beds.
Facilities like 100 oxygen cylinders, 10 oxygen concentrates, nebulation, separate wards for male and female patients, male and female paramedical staff, 3-time healthy food are arranged at the hospital.
If any patient get symptoms and need further treatment, they will be shifted other hospitals and for that, a 24-hour ambulance service with oxygen support will be available at the hospital, it said.
For the smooth running of the hospital a 30-member medical team with experienced doctors have also been constituted, it said.
If the situation demands, the field hospital will develop by adding more beds and facilities, says T Arifali, the president of Human Welfare Trust, the key functionary of the Field Hospital.
He said all services including treatment and food are free at the hospital.
Currently, the Alshifa Hospital has a capacity of 40-beds exclusively for Covid treatment. ICU and Ventilator facilities are also available at Alshifa, Ali said.
