Set up 500-bed Covid care center in Okhla ASAP, Amanatullah told
As Covid cases are increasing and residents are finding it hard to get oxygen and beds in hospitals in the locality, many residents have demanded setting up of 500 bed Covid care centre in Okhla ASAP.

“I request Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan to arrange for 500-bed Covid care center in Okhla with immediate effect. People are not getting beds in hospitals and are not getting oxygen.

“Set up the center with immediate effect,” wrote Jamia Nagar resident Saddam Mujeeb.
Other residents too have been demanding for more Covid facilities in the locality.
Delhi reported 395 fatalities on a single day, according to health bulletin on Thursday. The city reported 24,235 Covid cases during the same period. The positivity rate is 32.82 per cent, recovered/discharged/migrated persons 25,615.
A few days ago in a video message also covered by the OT, MLA Khan had said he would be setting up 20 oxygen beds in Noor Nagar school, but the centre is still to be operational, said residents.
However, efforts made by activists and others have failed to have major impact as many Covid cases are taking place, said residents.
