BOL-JMI adjudged Best Team, wins Rolling Trophy in Rotary Rotaract National Debate Competition 2023
BOL- The Debating Society of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) team represented by Priyanshu Chauhan, MA Human Rights, Department of Political Science and Sudeep Krishna, BA.LLB, Faculty of Law was adjudged the best team and also won the prestigious Rolling Trophy in the Rotary Rotaract National Debate Competition 2023. The event was organised by the Rotary Club of Delhi South.

The competition was conducted in two rounds. The first round was a round table conference on the topic- “Revamping the Current Reservation System in India”. The second round was an Oxford Conventional Debate on the topic “United Nations has lost its relevance”. The jury consisted of eminent professionals from distinct backgrounds.
The prestigious debate competition is being organized since 1999 and top institutions of the country participate in it every year. Last year, the trophy was bagged by IIM Calcutta. Now, JMI will have to defend its title next year.
