Delhi cases update: January 9 Compared to Saturday’s Covid numbers, the national Capital has reported 12 per cent more cases on Sunday at 22,751. Seventeen deaths were also reported from the city which is most Covid fatality in a day since June 16, 2021. The positivity rate stood at 23.53 per cent. If on Saturday Delhi saw 20,181 cases, on Friday 17,335 cases and 15,097 reported on Thursday. 2,075 ICU beds increased in 14 hospitals The Delhi Government has decided to increase a total of 5,650 beds and 2,075 ICU beds for corona patients in its 14 hospitals. Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said on Saturday that the Delhi government is already making all necessary arrangements and the situation is normal now. Delhi cases update: January 8 Covid cases in Delhi are increasing with each day. On Saturday, Delhi registered 20,181 Covid cases with positivity rate 19.60 per cent. Seven people succumbed to the infection, according to health bulletin released on Saturday (January 8). Some 25,909 patients are in home isolation with 1,480 positive patients in hospitals. Occupied beds are 11.24 per cent and vacant 88.76 per cent, stated the bulletin.
Students, locals mourn death of ‘Mamu’ The death of Ghaffar Manzil-based Azhar Hussain, who was popularly known as “Mamu” by the local residents, from cardiac arrest has left many in shock.
