Honouring Dr Umar, Minister of State for Law in the Government of India, Professor Satya Pal Singh Baghel, said Jamia and other prestigious institutions of the country are continuously getting achievements due to the efforts of important teachers. The theme of the programme was “National Education Policy: Current Scenario of Education 2025”.

Faggan Singh, Minister of State for Rural Development, was also present on the occasion. The chief guest of the programme was Santosh Yadav, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Education, Government of India and IAS.
Highlighting the role of a teacher, Baghel said there should not be any kind of hatred in the mind of a teacher, be it on the basis of caste, be it on the basis of colour, be it on the basis of religion.

“It should be the first duty of the teacher to see all the children in a class with equal vision and to work equally hard on all the children.”

Referring to the new education policy, he said we have to insist on becoming India and not China or Japan and work hard in that direction. “We have to make Chanakya’s India once again.”

Addressing the auditorium, Faggan said in the new education policy, the government has taken care of every class of people. There is an effort to take the sun of education to every home, he said.

Educationists from across the country were present on the occasion. Along with this, teachers and students from different parts of the country were also honored.

National Convener Jagdish Kumar Vij conducted the teachers’ conference.
