Apple launched the AirPods Pro 3 TWS earphones along with the iPhone 17 series at its ‘Awe Dropping’ event. These earbuds deliver excellent sound quality and the world’s best active noise cancellation (ANC). Compared to the AirPods Pro, they remove four times as much noise and twice as much as the AirPods Pro 2.

Apple completely redesigned the AirPods Pro 3. They are now smaller and fit securely in the ear, staying stable during workouts, running or other activities. The design is based on more than 10,000 ear scans and over one lakh hours of research. The earbuds also feature IP57 sweat and water resistance that make them suitable for tough workouts and frequent weather change. They come with five foam-infused ear tip sizes, including XXS, for a better fit for more people.

AirPods Pro 3 include a custom PPG sensor to measure heart rate for the first time. This sensor uses invisible infrared light pulsing 256 times per second. Fitness enthusiasts can track over 50 workouts in the fitness app on iPhone. They can also measure heart rate and calories burned and close their ‘Move Ring’. Apple Fitness+ users can view their performance metrics, such as heart rate and calories burned directly on the screen.

AirPods Pro 3 can also live translate and this feature makes face-to-face conversations easier. The feature is in beta and works in select languages. It helps users communicate with someone speaking a different language. ANC reduces background voices so users can focus on the translation. Initially, Live Translation supports English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish. By end of this year, it will have this service in Chinese, Italian, Japanese and Korean languages.

The earbuds run on Apple’s new H3 chip, offering personalized spatial audio and Dolby Atmos. They have pressure sensitive stem controls and Apple’s custom high-excursion drivers for excellent sound. The second generation UWB chip allows the Find My app to locate them more accurately. Each earbud provides eight hours of playback. With the charging case, total battery life reaches 40 hours. The case supports USB-C, MagSafe, and reverse charging from iPhone 17 Pro models.

AirPods Pro 3 are priced at $249 (approximately Rs 22,000). Pre order is already available, and it will be available in market from September 19.

AirPods Pro 3 can be pre-ordered today, with availability beginning Friday, September 19.

“With AirPods Pro 3, the most popular headphones take a massive leap forward, providing fantastic sound quality and the world’s best ANC of any in-ear wireless headphones,” said John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering. “Combined with an improved fit that provides greater stability for even more people, heart rate sensing, extended battery life, and Live Translation enabled by Apple Intelligence, AirPods Pro 3 take personal audio to the next level.”
