A man brings mini-dumper truck full of chicken, fish waste from other part of city to dump in Shaheen Bagh, caught red handed, according to a claim made by a video uploaded by Councillor Ariba Khan’s Man Friday on Wednesday.
In the video which was uploaded by Mohsin Khan on his timeline it can be seen how late night on Wednesday he and his men caught red handed a mini-dumper truck full of chicken and fish waste standing at the Shaheen Bagh garbage dump.
Mohsin can be heard reprimanding a man for helping the mini-dumper truck driver in dumping the animal waste from other part of the city in Shaheen Bagh in the dark of the night. Another person can be heard saying: “See, how this mini-truck is trying to dump animal waste from other part of the city in Shaheen Bagh.” The claim made in the video cannot be verified by the OT.
However, former Congress MLA Asif Md Khan, who is still languishing in jail in a case related to misbehaving with police, had earlier raised the issue. He had claimed that in night when the residents are sleeping there are people who come from other part of the city to dump animal waste. After his daughter Ariba Khan won the MCD election on Congress ticket, Asif’s men have been on alert at night to make sure that outsiders and even locals don’t dump animal or construction waste in Shaheen Bagh.
Dumping of garbage on the road is a major issue with waste spilling over. At times, residents have claimed that birds like eagle hovers over the garbage dump for eating animal waste.
