Update on Okhla AAP MLA Amanatullah
Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan’s supporters who turned up at the court were left heartbroken after they came to know that hearing on bail plea of the MLA, arrested in Delhi Waqf irregularities case, will be given on Wednesday.
The order on the bail plea of Khan in a case related to alleged irregularities at the Delhi Waqf Board has been reserved. Special Judge Vikas Dhull said the order would be pronounced on Wednesday.
It was on September 26 that Khan was sent to 14 days in judicial custody by Delhi’s Rouse Avenue court in connection with a corruption case. The AAP MLA from Okhla was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on September 16 after day-long raids at his and his aides’ homes.
Writing on social media, AAP leader Mahmood Ahmed asked Khan’s followers to pray for him as it was an important day. Throughout the day, AAP supporters in Okhla waited with bated breath about the development viz-a-viz bail to the leader. However, Ahmed again posted that the judgement on Khan’s bail plea will come on tomorrow at 3.30 pm.
