Aarfa makes big revelation, hits out at Asif in 18-minute FB live, video going viral
Congress leader Advocate Aarfa Khanam criticised former Okhla Congress MLA Asif Md Khan in a live more than 18-minute long video on Monday. She started with sharing some information with the netizens and said she worked hard in Shaheen Bagh but during ticket distribution from the Congress party, she had offer to contest from Matia Mahal in Jama Masjid but she declined as she wanted to fight from AFE ward.
A few minutes in the video, she indirectly attacked Asif without naming him.
Later on as she moved on, Aarfa named Asif once in her long video. It is not known what triggered Aarfa’s outburst against Asif that too in live FB video, which is going viral, soliciting 112 comments in two hours.
Many AAP workers have also joined in relishing the infighting in the Okhla Congress which had started after Ariba got the ticket and anger peaked among some disgruntled Congress workers after Asif daughter defeated AAP sitting Councillor Wajid Khan in the MCD polls 2022. It appears that the win of Ariba has not gone down well among some Congress workers and local leader who even during the election campaign had tried their level best to build opinion against Ariba when Asif was in jail, said an Okhla watcher.
Since Monday morning, posts started surfacing on the social media with Parvez Alma Khan, another Congress leader who had unsuccessfully contested the MCD election last time and had lost to Wajid, posting a message without mentioning name of any leader. Also, Parvez was in the race for ticket from AFE ward but lost to Ariba.
Okhla watchers said the target was Asif. It is understood that the war words started internally in the Okhla Congress after Asif succeeded in getting ticket for his daughter. Many leaders have firing salvo on the social media against Asif but this is for the first time that Aarfa came live to express her anger.
