Cong star campaigner Alka joins Shahana in door-to-door campaign
Election campaign is in full process with parties doing all it could to win hearts and minds of voters. The five wards in Okhla too are seeing campaigning. On Saturday, Congress star campaigner Alka Lamba turned up in Ghaffar Manzil to drum up support for party’s candidate Shahana Parveen from Sarita Vihar ward.
Sharing a photo of the door-to-door campaign, Advocate Aarfa Khanam shared the photo of Alka where she can also be seen campaigning with the Congress candidate. Parveen got Congress candidate after Azeem Fouzul returned the ticket on technical and personal ground. Parveen is up against BJP’s Nitu Manish Chaudhary who before joining the BJP had won election on Congress ticket with Ghaffar Manzil residents backing her candidacy then.
The AAP has also fielded her candidate and election is expected to see a fight between these three leading parties in Delhi. The MCD was ruled by BJP for the last three terms and the AAP is laying claim to the civic body urging Delhiiites to vote its party in the election for better development of the national Capital.
The BJP too is urging Delhiites to give it another chance to address other burning issues. In Okhla all eyes are on Sarita Vihar ward.
