Two youths, one from Zakir Nagar and the other from Haji Colony, died in a road accident while riding a sports bike after Sehri. Their bike crashed into a divider, according to Wasim Khan, who is familiar with the incident.
Speaking to OT over the phone, Khan said the youths from Okhla had gone for a bike ride after Sehri when the accident occurred. “They were riding a 900 cc sports bike. One of them, likely the rider, was a YouTuber from Haji Colony who used to post bike-riding videos on Instagram. Both lost their lives. One of them was my neighbour — a good young boy. Our entire area is in shock,” he said.
One of the deceased, Zafar’s son, had completed his BBA from Jamia.
Sharing about the incident, Councillor Ariba Khan wrote on her timeline: “Zafar Ansari uncle’s son has passed away. May Allah forgive the deceased and give patience to the family. Ameen.
Namaz-e-Janaza will be offered at Batla House graveyard after Taraweeh.”
Ariba’s father Asif Mohammed Khan aware of the development said it is very shocking that two young boys life lost in the accident. Parents should keep an eye on their children, he said.
Asif said the body of other youth has come just now and it will be laid to rest.
