Rahul yatra in Okhla: This globally-acclaimed personality might join Gandhi
Rahul Gandhi is coming to Okhla soon, according to Congress leaders.
The Bharat Jodo Yatra is to be held in Okhla on December 24 and for this a meeting of senior Congress leaders was held at former Okhla MLA Asif Md Khan’s Kalindi Kunj office which was attended by Congress Arvinder Singh Lovely, Parvez Hashmi, Shoaib Danish and Ariba Khan.
During the meeting, Asif proposed the name of Shaheen Bagh dadi Bilkis who had made to the TIME’s list of most influential people of 2020. Then 84-year-odl dadi had catapulted into national and international face during the anti-CAA-NRC protest in Shaheen Bagh which later had spread to many cities of India.
As the preparation for the event is in early stage, the names are yet to be finalised, said sources. Asif said the meeting has been called to chalk out strategy for a rousing welcome for Rahul Gandhi, who is one of the greatest leaders of India. In the meeting which lasted for more than 30 minutes, Congress leaders discussed ways to make the event a successful one.
Newly-election Abul Fazal Enclave Councillor Ariba said the Okhla Congress will make sure that the event is a huge success.
The ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra,’ which started from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu on September 7, these days is passing through Rajasthan. Tomorrow it will complete 100 days.
