Many Okhla netizens mourned the death of 45-year-old Akhtar Alam on Friday due to coronavirus.
Alam, an alumnus of Jamia Millia Islamia who resided in Okhla for years, died in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia, where he was working as a General Manager in a polyclinic, said a netizen on Friday.
Born in Katihar, Alam came to Delhi for higher studies after which he moved to the Middle East in hunt for job, wrote residents on the social media.
He is survived by four children and a wife who reside in Bangalore, said Syed Tahseen Ahmed, who knew him.
