Okhla’s leading educationist rushed to hospital after blood pressure spikes admitted to ICU.
Okhla’s leading educationist Tarique Ikramullah was rushed to a hospital after his blood pressure spiked a few days ago, said his well wishers. Owner of several schools in Jamia Nagar and a well-known educationist, Tarique Ikramullah’s condition is now stable, said a person known to him, adding that he was discharged from the local hospital on Friday morning after treatment.
He said earlier he was rushed to a local hospital. He was admitted to ICU where doctors carried tests on him to find out the reason behind the sudden spike in his blood pressure. Everything appears to be fine and now he is recuperating in his Abul Fazal Enclave house, said Md Nayyar, who knows the family very well.
In it heydays when a few residents were settled in Jamia Nagar and it had started to grow with people from across India coming to settle down in the locality, it was then that Tarique Ikramullah started The Ideal Public School to cater to children’s education.
Many local residents termed him a visionary and it is reported that over the years he expanded the education system in Jamia Nagar by establishing several schools across the locality to make sure that children don’t stay away from schools. Another resident said his contribution to basic education system in Okhla is immense and highly appreciated.
They said despite Jamia Nagar being very close to Jamia Millia Islamia and its school there was scarcity of schools then and there was need to good schools and it was then that Tarique Ikramullah stepped in to fill the gap.
