Gang stealing high-end bikes busted, 11 bikes recovered, 2 arrested
Eleven cases of motor vehicle theft have been solved after the arrest of a Manipur-based bullet gang by a team of the Crime Branch of Delhi Police a few days ago. Two members of the gang have been arrested and eleven costly bikes including Bullet-bikes, have been recovered, said police.
Also, master key, lock breaker, new locks of bikes, and other instruments used in the commission of crime have been recovered. The police officer said: “A secret information regarding movements of these desperate MV thieves was received and immediately police swung into action and the gang members were located in the area of Okhla-Vihar. Police team raided the area and successfully apprehended both the accused along with the stolen bullet motorcycle.”
The gang members were residing in the area of Okhla Vihar and the team was deployed strategically near the house of the gang members and finally two men were spotted near C-Block, Okhla Vihar while they were riding on a bullet motorcycle, said police, adding that both were apprehended.
During further investigation, 10 more stolen motorcycles, master key/lock sets of new bullet motorcycles, tools used to break the locks of motorcycles were recovered at the instance of the accused persons, they said, adding that one stolen bullet from Shaheen Bagh was also recovered.
Further investigation is being carried out in the matter, reported the media.
