Namzis rush to douse Batla House fire, building roof gutted, fire brigade reaches spot
Roof of a Batla House building was gutted after fire broke out at 2.20 pm, according to locals.
Md Javed, who resides in Azeem Diary, told the OT over phone that as he was coming after offering Friday namaz in Batla House mosque he saw residents in Muradi Road shouting and seeking for help.

“We rushed to the spot with a few other residents and climbed on a nearby house and some among them started pouring water on the rooftop. The fire brigade and police also turned up. Nothing serious happened as everything went on smoothly with a boy receiving minor injuries,” said Javed.
Sudhar Trust chief said the fire was doused and everything is under control.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
